This morning, we were off early to a miniature horse farm called "Mini Mates" for a 6 year old girl's birthday party. One of my daughter's friends from school. In all the years we've lived here, we've never been so were looking forward to it.
The horses were really cute and each girl (all 20 of them) had 3 rides each. I'm not sure whether it was because there were so many girls, but the whole experience seemed very 'military' and rushed. They were herded into the stable for a quick feed of the horses, a quick brush, a quick look at the donkey all adorned in red sparkles and then it was quick, quick, quick up to the party food.
By then, all the girls were a bit thirsty and hungry and a bit miserable (well, my daughter was) but once the girls were 'fed and watered', they picked up. A lovely morning out but a little bit too rushed and frantic and not something that the girls could really appreciate and enjoy. What little girl doesn't like minature horses?
